How to position TGV boarding

SNCF is thinking about taking the step of checking tickets before boarding, with a view to reducing fraud and ensuring passengers' peace of mind.

The Challenge

Gather experience of existing services, develop the service dimension for target audiences - families, senior citizens, professionals, etc.

Methodology

A design thinking approach: individual interviews on board the TGVs and observation by an ergonomist, development of services in a workshop followed by a group assessment of the potential of the boarding layout and the services devised.

Outputs

Prototype boarding systems currently being validated at Montparnasse and Marseille St Charles stations: to be continued!
